The 2026 ABMA Boiler Expo was held in Nashville, Tennessee and attended by more than 1,500 industry professionals. The ABMA Boiler Expo is the largest boiler conference and happens every two years. This event brought together boiler system experts, manufacturers, and solution providers for technical education and industry engagement.
ECI’s Russ Wilfong, Business Development Manager of Steam Solutions, presented at the expo alongside Emerson’s Tim Dwyer. Their session examined the critical function of valves within boiler systems, with a focus on operation, technology, and maintenance.
The presentation explored the roles of valves used for fuel gas, feedwater, blowdown, blowoff, and safety relief applications. Russ and Tim reviewed the basic operational principles of each valve type and highlighted various valve technologies commonly used in boiler systems.
