The Bettis M2CP Electric Actuator with separate control module is a proven solution for high temperature/high vibration process applications, including those in which torque and position feedback are needed. The separate control module allows most of the electronics to be mounted in a separate enclosure, away from heat and vibration which allows for operators to stay out of the 'line of fire', reducing the risk to their health and safety.

Optimizing this process is becoming increasingly important, and good measurement is a key factor in effectively evaluating coker operations.

Our solution was designed with Customer feedback.

The Emerson Fisher™ V500 Eccentric Plug Valve for furnace feed applications was designed with direct Customer feedback to address erosive flows at high temperature. The Fisher™ FIELDVUE™ DVC6200 Digital Valve Controller keeps the flow rate tightly controlled, while Emerson Rosemount Vortex Flow Meters are resistant to clogging, suited for high temperature and immune to coating. Additionally, our solution allows you to fine tune the combustion process with O2 and CO measurements using analyzers from Rosemount.

In order to handle the demands of the process, it is essential to use a metal seated ball valve to provide quick and reliable failsafe operation. 

We have responded to the challenges of coking within the refinery area by providing a solution that meets the extreme high temperature, high pressure, and potential combustion issues.

Our solution leverages Emerson's expertly designed products.

A solution has been achieved by applying an Emerson Bettis CBA300 Scotch Yoke Pneumatic Valve Actuator and encapsulating it with K-Mass intumescent coating for fire protection. With the use of an Emerson Fisher™ FIELDVUE™ DVC6200 SIS Digital Valve Controller and/or the Emerson TopWorx™ DXP, we are able to provide precise valve positioning and feedback control. The Fisher Z500 can incorporate a number of specialized trim configurations and high quality coatings for use in this high temperature, high pressure, erosive, and corrosive application. As part of the added solution, our team can mount all of the automated controls within a separate control panel that is also encapsulated in K-Mass to ensure the valve is brought to a safe state if there is an emergency.
